Meet Mr. Fox – Our Gentle Old Soul

Mr. Fox is a distinguished older gentleman who came to us alongside his beloved sister, Papaya after their owner sadly lost his home and could no longer care for them. Both dogs arrived with hearts full of love, but lives suddenly turned upside down.

Mr. Fox is a gentle, calm soul who gets along beautifully with other dogs (as long as they respect his space) and he’s wonderful with cats. Like many seniors, he carries a few age-related health concerns, and he is partially deaf with fading eyesight, but none of this dims his sweetness or his ability to enjoy life.

Earlier this year, we had to say a heart-breaking goodbye to Papaya and her loss was a tremendous change for Mr. Fox. For a while, he was unsure and grieving, learning how to navigate the world without his lifelong companion. But thanks to the patience, kindness and steady love of our volunteers, he has blossomed. His confidence has grown, his personality has begun to shine again and he is once more ready to give and receive love.

Now, Mr. Fox is searching for something very simple and very special — a soft sofa, a peaceful home, and a forever family who will cherish him through his golden years.
