Our Beautiful ‘Designer’ Finca Dog
Melody’s story is as loving as it is bittersweet. She came from a wonderful, devoted family who adored her deeply. Rehoming her was an incredibly difficult and emotional decision, but due to serious and complicated health challenges within the family, they knew they could no longer give Melody the life she deserved.
After learning about Emma and her mission here at the sanctuary, they reached out — hoping Melody could join a place filled with safety, love, and companionship. They knew Emma was the perfect match for their girl, and with heavy hearts but full trust, they brought her to us.
Since the moment she arrived, Melody has shown us that she is far from the delicate princess everyone assumed her to be. In fact, she has embraced finca life with absolute joy! Our ‘designer dog’ has transformed into an energetic, playful, muddy, happy whirlwind of fun. She spends her days running wild around the sanctuary like an excited puppy, living life to the fullest with her new friends. Melody has especially bonded with Milo and Smeagol. The three of them are almost always found tumbling around together, exploring every corner of the finca, or engaging in some mischievous adventure as a little trio.
Melody may have come from love, but she has also found a whole new kind of freedom and happiness here, proving that sometimes even the most difficult decisions lead to the most wonderful new beginnings.
