Two Brothers, Two Fighters.
Felix and Jasper share a bittersweet story, one filled with love, loss, resilience, and hope. These beautiful FeLV-positive boys were cared for deeply by a kind English couple who adored them. When life circumstances changed and they could no longer give the cats the care they needed, they searched tirelessly for a place where Felix and Jasper could live safely and happily. Finding a home for FeLV-positive cats is incredibly difficult. With their illness being lifelong and contagious, their fate is often bleak. But thankfully, their journey led them to us.
Felix and Jasper were both treasured residents in our Cat Hospital, where they lived with comfort, safety, and companionship. Felix has been fortunate, he doesn’t suffer many complications from the virus and enjoys a good quality of life. Jasper, however, faced more challenges. Secondary infections and recurring eye issues meant he often needed intensive veterinary care, medications, and close monitoring. Unfortunately, Jasper recently crossed the rainbow bridge in his sleep. But thankfully, Felix is still thriving!
Despite his hurdles, Felix is sunshine wrapped in fur. He is playful, affectionate, and endlessly cuddly – adored not only by the other FeLV residents but by every volunteer who spends time with him. His resilience and ability to love so deeply reminds us daily why sanctuary care matters. Felix and Jasper may have been hard to place, but here, they found a home where they were cherished, protected, and loved for exactly who they are.
