Despite his rough start, Ratatouille is thriving as he learns to experience the world in his own way
We rescued this tiny warrior after he was found in a heart-breaking state and taken straight to the vet. One of his eyes had been severely damaged before birth, so it had to be removed immediately. His remaining eye was also injured, and we weren’t sure if he would ever see again.
It just so happens that Dr. Scott Miller was visiting at the time and he kindly helped us assess and diagnose little Ratatouille. With his expert guidance, we ran every test we could — FIV, FeLV, and all the usual suspects that can cause in-utero damage — but thankfully, Ratatouille tested negative for them all.
Now, with the small amount of vision in his remaining eye, he’s learning to navigate the world through muscle memory, trust, and love. He’s bonded beautifully with Akindi and our son Iggy, finding joy, safety, and play in his new home. Despite everything he’s lost, Ratatouille is thriving — curious, cuddly, and full of life!
Sponsor Ratatouille to stay updated on his journey and help with his ongoing medical care as we continue to help him thrive in his new life.
