A horse with big hopes
This is our new Arab stallion which we rescued 2 weeks ago but haven’t even met yet. (similar to the other Ed Sheeran we haven’t met him YET either)
Sheerio went straight to the vets before coming to us. So we don’t know much about him yet. The vets tell us he is very sweet and calm, Especially for a Arab stallion. The local man who helped us rescue him told us he is very shut down due to years of neglect. He had been left to starve and fend for himself which we can see from the photo. Apparently the poor boy has been used as a breeding machine until he was not strong enough to do it anymore. At this point he was not worthy of food apparently.
It breaks our heart every time. When will it end?
As we have been all singing Ed Sheeran songs recently around the sanctuary whilst creating our meet Ed Sheeran campaign. It seemed like the obvious name for him. Give the poor stallion some positivity in his life. Some Sheerio Cheerio!
