Our Striking, Shadow-Like Brothers.
Bobbie and Bones arrived under mysterious and heart-breaking circumstances. Along with their two sisters, they were abandoned in a carrier in the full heat of a 30-degree day, left by the roadside not far from our sanctuary — fragile, dehydrated, and terrified. Thankfully, one of our volunteers happened to spot the carrier and brought all four kittens to safety just in time. With no spare space for such young kittens, we called on our amazing volunteers. The boys went to one home and the girls to another, where they received warmth, food, and reassurance.
But recovery wasn’t instant. These little souls were deeply afraid. They hid constantly, too anxious to interact, and at one point we even had to strip an accommodation space to find them after they tucked themselves away in fear. Four months later, everything began to change. Their sisters were adopted by our manager, Helena, and grew beautifully into confident, affectionate family cats. Bobbie and Bones, however, still preferred the shadows — but together. Always together.
Now, they can often be seen at night patrolling their favourite corner of the sanctuary. They are not the cuddliest of cats, but they are captivating. With their stunning tabby coats and a hint of Siamese elegance in their features, they are striking to anyone fortunate enough to spot them. Bobbie and Bones are inseparable — a bonded pair who would thrive as farm or finca cats, where they can explore, observe, and exist with space, freedom, and gentle companionship.
