Tenerife’s biggest virtual exercise challenge is back!
Do you want to make a difference to the lives of rescue animals, at the same time as getting fit and connecting with nature?
In the last three years a team of animal lovers from all over the world have come together to take on The Animal March!
Walking 100km over the month of March and raising funds from friends and family, since the first year in 2023 they raised almost €50,000 helping us to buy our neighbouring land and secure the future of our sanctuary!
This year The Animal March is back for it’s fourth year, and we are gearing up to be bigger and better than ever before! This year we are marching for our new Vet Clinic, so we can finally make this dream a reality and fill it with all the equipment we need to save lives!
And this time round, we have reduced the distance to 50km, that’s only a 20 minute walk per day!

So what is The Animal March?
The Animal March is a virtual exercise challenge that takes place over the month of March. You can do your KM’s anywhere and any time you like, at a beach in Tenerife or the outback in Australia!
You get a free t-shirt when you register (and it’s free to take part!)
You take on 50km over the month, that’s just a 20 minute walk a day!
You ask your family and friends to sponsor you, and share your online fundraising page that we create for you!
It’s 50km your way – walk, run or swim!
Have fun, get fit, and get into nature, all whilst helping save the lives of Tenerife’s rescued and abandoned animals.
If you do a little everyday, or big runs on the weekend, you can take part anytime with a buddy a dog, or just riding solo!
It’s one of the very best ways you can support us, no matter where you are.

We loved being a part of The Animal March and taking on the challenge. Jo’Anne and myself took part in the 100k walk in 2024. We thoroughly enjoyed being part of this worthy cause. We were lucky to meet many of the volunteers at the horse rescue sanctuary and after seeing their dedication to providing care for the animals, this spurred us on to raise as much money as we could to help these guys in their selfless efforts. We wish you so much luck for 2025.

Amazing, team work makes the dream work! If you are coming as a group we will also give you a free tour/school trip of the sanctuary so you can see all the animals you have raised money for!
